Emmanuel Adebayor's Top Five Goals for Arsenal
Emmanuel Adebayor is closing in on a transfer to Manchester City, with his medical completed there is a routine work permit application to be approved on a deal reportedly worth £25 million.
Having been in England since January 2006, it's surprising that the Togo striker has to secure a work permit, but nothing ever seems to be straight forward with the former Monaco hitman.
Arsenal are set to make a £20 million profit on Adebayor, yet again highlighting Arsene Wenger’s incredible ability to play the transfer market to the Gunners’ benefit.

Last summer’s antics, and the now infamous Football Focus interview, angered Arsenal fans, but Adebayor put in some fine performances for Arsenal (and besides the wacky dancing) left some indelible moments that will live long in the memory.
Adebayor could well be a major hit at Eastland; alongside the likes of Robinho, Tevez, and Ireland. Mark Hughes has at his disposal a strike force good enough to challenge for the Premier League title. Adebayor could respond positively to the transfer, recapturing the form of two seasons ago, rather than the player we saw in the most recent campaign.
Below is our choice for the top five goals scored by Emmanuel Adebayor, in order of quality (feel free to disagree), during his Arsenal career.
It is worth noting just how special some of these strikes were, including the MOTD 2007-08 goal of the season, and also his propensity to score against North London rivals Tottenham (eight goals in his last eight games against Spurs).
