An Open Letter To Vander Blue
Dear Mr. Blue,
I know that you backed down from your verbal commitment to play for Bo Ryan at the University of Wisconsin. I also know that you have had to deal with a great deal of negativity in Madison due to the fact the entire town is Badger crazy.
I went to school there—I know how crazy Badger fans are. I must admit when I heard you decommitted I was disappointed. I had a great time watching you dominate the state tournament this year, and I promise to be a fan of yours and to follow your career no matter where you decide to continue your education. You need to do what you feel is best for you and that is the bottom line.

That being said, I would like to dispel a misconception that many have about Bo Ryan's system.
I have heard some say that you may have decommitted because you don't think Coach Ryan's system will give you the best showcase to reach the NBA. I just thought the basketball world needed to be reminded that the kid in the photo above(6'3" PG...sound familiar) did alright for himself playing for Coach Ryan. The fifth pick in the NBA draft is nothing to sneeze at.
I would argue that Devin Harris was better prepared than most guards because he could run an offense, score for himself, and above all, play defense.
Now, Mr. Harris is an NBA All-Star.
So, in conclusion, I just thought you should know that many of us Wisconsonians are behind you no matter what. I just wanted to offer this perspective for you to consider. Good luck Mr. Blue on your upcoming decision.
I look forward to watching your career for many years.
Sincerely,
Mr. Ryan J. Chrouser
