Xabi Alonso Preferred to Keep His Liverpool Memories Than Return to Prem League

Xabi Alonso simply loves Liverpool too much to make a sensational Premier League return. 

The Spanish midfielder, who recently completed a move from Real Madrid to Bavarian giants Bayern Munich, commented on interest coming from England but ultimately shot down a potential move because he'd prefer to keep his Liverpool legacy perfectly intact. 

According to Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail, there was interest from Jose Mourinho's Chelsea along with Manchester United

But in his final press conference from the Bernabeu, he pointed to Liverpool—where he spent five seasons—as reason for not wanting to come back to the Premier League.

"

I had five great years at Liverpool and I would rather just keep that memory as it is. The interest came in from Bayern in the last two weeks and it's the right decision.

"

So there you have it, Liverpool fans. His affinity for the club pushed him toward Germany instead of England.
