Tennis Player Marinko Matosevic Makes It Known That He Wants to 'Be Like Mike'

Things were looking bleak for Marinko Matosevic in his 2014 U.S. Open first-round match against Roger Federer, so he decided to try something unusual to get a boost.

After dropping a point in the third set, Matosevic let everyone know that he just wants to "be like Mike." The "Mike" that he is referring to is of course Michael Jordan, who was in the crowd.   

Unfortunately for Matosevic, he was unable to channel his inner Jordan and pull off a big comeback. Federer won the match in straight sets.

Matosevic may have had better luck had he said it while putting on a pair of MJ's sneakers.

Matosevic's awesome proclamation did, however, earn him a visit from Jordan after the match.
