Patrick Peterson Hasn't 'Gotten Around' to Cashing $15 Million Bonus Check

If given a $15 million check, most people would cash it immediately. That has not been the case with Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Peterson received a $15,361,000 signing bonus as part of the five-year, $70 million contract extension he signed back on July 29. However, he has yet to cash the check.

Why? 

"I just haven’t gotten around to it," Peterson told The Monday Morning Quarterback's Peter King.

The 24-year-old hasn't made time to cash a $15 million check? That seems like something you would do the day you received it. Then again, if he doesn't cash it, he can't spend it, so maybe Peterson is just proving his savvy.
