There are many questions that people think of whenever they think of OJ Mayo. People have their own thoughts and opinions about him as well.

Some people think that he is some selfish, ballhogging punk. Some people think of him as the second coming.

Here are six questions with the sixth question being the most important that could determine whether or not OJ could become a great player in the NBA.

1.) How will his game translate into the NBA?

Well after a stellar rookie season in which he averaged 18.5 points 3.8 rebs and 3.2 ast per game I think its safe to say that he fared well. But the main issue with those stats is that he isn't as efficient as some of his fellow rookies but, that probably has something to do with him taking jumpshots alot.

But, I don't mind the jumpshots though. He needs to work on his offensive game and drive to the basket more when his jumpshot isn't falling.

2.) Is he a selfish and arrogant player?

Well contrary to popular belief he is a great team player he is also very unselfish despite what his assist numbers may say. Most of that has to do with the fact that the Grizzlies aren't best team offensively. Outside of him and Rudy Gay, there aren't too many scorers on the team.

3.) Is he a one-dimensional player?

If you have ever seen a Grizzlies game where OJ is at his best you will be able to see that he can lead an offense, play defense, and score. So my answer to that question is no.

4.) Will he ever become a dominant player?

That in actuallity is pretty difficult if he can dominate a game the way Kobe does which is score in crunch time, play great defense, and become a great leader then sure he could.

But, he may never become fully dominant because, he is undersized for his position but, it is still very possible that he could be though.

5.) Can he make his team better?

This is one skill that I do believe that OJ could work on. But he is good at making the team better. The issue is that some of his other teammates aren't very good.

6.) Could he ever make the transition to being a point guard?

This question is the most important and could really determine if he could ever become a superstar. He has already proven that he can play the 2 but, he is undersized for the position. That is the main reason as to why he needs to be able to play the point full time.

I don't think that he will ever become a point guard. This isn't an insult to OJ Mayo because, he is one of my favorite players. But, I think that he is more of a combo guard if anything. He can score and he can lead an offense.

He turns the ball over a little too much for me to be able to say that he should lead the Grizz. But, with time and practice he will get there.

I know that I said that there would only be six questions but there is one more that I need to answer.

7.) Will he ever become a Superstar?

I know that there will be alot of people who disagree with me but mark my words. One day I believe that OJ will become one of the best players in the NBA.

He has this thing about him that I don't see in alot of other young players in the NBA. He has this look in his eyes that say that we wants to be the best player. He has "It."

I don't know what "It" is but I know he could become a Superstar one day.
