Tony Romo is Destined for Greatness

Everybody relax. 

Tony Romo is only going into his fourth year as a starter. I’ve read many stories claiming Romo an underachiever or a bust. Please remember, he was an UNDRAFTED player. Romo is living the life and playing with house money. It takes quarterbacks usually four to five years to develop into the player they will be for the rest of their career. Romo is still adding to his toolbox. Have faith in the guy.

Not every quarterback turns out like Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger. Actually, most quarterbacks take the same paths as Drew Brees or Peyton Manning. But Cowboys fans should be proud because of the above-mentioned quarterbacks Romo and Manning hold the highest quarterback ratings.   

While playing on America’s Team (yes there is no debate that the Cowboys are America’s team) brings more attention to each player, Romo is handling his situation perfectly.  With a smile on his face at all times, Romo clearly belongs in the spotlight. 

All kids grow up dreaming of finding success the way Tony Romo has done. Romo is the rags to riches story, the Cinderella Man, who despite all the media attention lives his dream of dating an attractive superstar, Jessica Simpson, and plays a round of golf with the all-time great, Tiger Woods. 

Tony Romo is literally living the dream; do not ruin it for him. While Cowboys fans are accustomed to only greatness, give the young kid a chance. A young and exuberant individual, Romo will make his mark on the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL when the time is right, whether it is this coming season or the next. He was born to do big things; have patience and let Romo develop into the quarterback we want.

And hopefully he can win some Super Bowls along the way, preferably in a Cowboys uniform.
