Wrestling Fans: Show Some Love For The Little Guys!!!!

Hello everyone. As always, thank you for spending a few minutes with me today.

I would like to talk about something today that has been on my mind for a while. The issue at hand is the lack of support for our beloved Indie scene.

While it is great that we have a decent fan base for the big two brands, it is a little bothersome to hear the struggles of the Indie scenes out there. We as fans need to show our support for these guys. You see kiddies, unlike the WWE or TNA, it is the Indie scene that is the true heart and soul of pro wrestling. Also, unlike your big federations it is your local scene that cares what your opinions and thoughts are.

Indie promoters and wrestlers share the same financial burdens just like the rest of us. They have to struggle to put money in their pockets and food on the table. It is not all that uncommon that an Indie wrestler has to work two jobs.

Some may ask: Why they go through all this trouble for such little pay and recognition?

The answer is very simple my friends. They do what they do, night in and night out, because they love the business.

They eat, breathe, live, and die for the wrestling industry. More often times than not, though, it is for empty and dead crowds. There are many times the wrestlers won’t even get paid because the turn-out wasn’t good enough.

It is up to us wrestling fans to keep their drive and spirits up. It doesn’t even take that much to do so. Take some time out of your busy lives to check them out if you can. It's not that expensive, and they are truly appreciative of your business.

It's not only a fun night, but it is also a night of entertainment that won't break the bank. It’s a good time with friends, loved ones, and the kids. I bring my son all the time and he has a blast.

Your local federations are friendly, and always willing to spend a few minutes with you to chat. They also will bust their humps out in that ring to give you a great show. All that they ask from you is to come to the show and have a good time.

So, the next time you see an advertisement for a local show, pick up that flyer and plan to make a night out of it. I promise you; if you go, not only will you have a good time, but you will also brighten the day of a young kid trying to do what he loves the most.
