New York Knicks Closing In On Andre Miller
The New York Knicks have top Free Agent PG Andre Miller in their sights at the moment.
With the uncertain future of G Nate Robinson the Knicks may look to lock up the best available G left on the market.
A sign and trade has also been discussed with the Sixers that would send Chris Duhon to the Sixers in exchange for Miller.
The Knicks currently have a one year, $5.85 million dollar they can put on the table for Miller. If he chooses to decline it the fallback option would be the sign in trade. Where the Knicks would be able to offer Miller 125 percent of Duhons salary ($7.6 million).
The Knicks already tried to land G Jason Kidd, who re-signed with the Mavericks. So their interest in obtaining one is no secret.
Miller had been hoping to obtain a $10 million annual salary, he could elect to take a smaller deal knowing teams have big Free Agent money to throw at the heralded 2010 class of LeBron.
We will likely have updates as early as tomorrow morning.
The New York Daily News reported the rumored interest.
