What NFL Teams Would Look Like If Rosters Were Filled with Local Players

Kyle NewportAug 12, 2014

A lot of young athletes grow up hoping that they can one day play for their local professional team. Andrew Powell-Morse of BestTickets.com lets us know what the NFL would look like today if teams were filled with players from their local areas.

With the help of noahveltman.com's territory map, Powell-Morse was able to place players based on which team was closest to their place of birth.

Not every team has its own roster, however. Powell-Morse created just a single a roster for the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Redskins, New York Giants and New York Jets, and Oakland Raiders and San Francisco 49ers.

Some teams couldn't fill their rosters with local talent from the target area, so players were pulled from nearby territories to fill a roster spot here and there. The blue dots in the images indicate replacement players.

The rosters include every position except fullback
