Kid in Hot Dog Suit Loses Race After Pants Cause Him to Repeatedly Fall Down

The Hot Dog Derby during Sunday's game between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals couldn't end quickly enough for one contestant.

The kid in the mustard suit was looking like he was in great position to win the race. Then, his pants betrayed him.

As he entered the final stretch with the lead, the pants from the hot dog costume quit on him. It turned out to be a costly wardrobe malfunction.

A member of the Royals staff did everything he could, including trying to pull the pants up, to help the kid get past the finish line.

According to the broadcasters, the mustard hot dog did end up finishing the race and received a standing ovation from the Kauffman Stadium crowd.
