Joe's 411: B/R Pro-Wrestlng News (July 10, 2009)
Welcome to an all new Joe's 411: B/R Pro-Wrestling News. From Vince McMahon news to Shawn Michaels' return, the 411 has the scoop. So, let's get to it!
Vince McMahon Update
As we all know, Vince McMahon is an intense man. He wants his product to be perfect, and of course you can't blame the guy.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
However, the aura he brings in the ring is pretty much the same way he is out of it. When he produces backstage, the announcers are always on their game so they are not yelled at, verbally abused in some way, or fired.
No matter how well the announcers do, Vince is always yelling in their ear.
Because of this, everyone loves when Vince has an on-air promo, especially a long one. He is concentrating on his lines, so he has Stephanie McMahon do the producing for that night.
Everything always goes well when she produces, and they get done right, which is most important to Vince.
Unlike Vince, there is no yelling or screaming at anyone. She calmly tells people what to do, and it is done well. People of course love when she produces and they call it "a day in Paradise," compared to when Vince produces. Maybe Vince could learn a little from his daughter.
John Cena News
ESPN recently sat down with WWE Superstar John Cena. He was there to, of course, promote the 12 Rounds DVD and the RAW vs. SmackDown 2010 video game.
They asked the tough questions like what you do with your days off, who you see as the stars in the future, what about the movie, etc. Then they actually gave us something to read in will you ever like to go heel? Here is what Cena had to say:
"That's the thing; I'm one of those guys who on any given day can be booed out of any building. I'm the only guy who is neither a good guy nor a bad guy. That's because I'm genuinely myself.
"Certainly, guys in our industry try to sway the audience one way or the other, but like I said, I go out there and I'm me. I have certain things that I stand for, certain things that I believe in, and if you don't like it and you tell me to go to hell, I think that's your God-given right as a fan.
"It's one of those deals where I'm that one guy who is outside of that realm of good guy, bad guy. I'm just me, and it elicits a response both positive and negative."
I personally would like to see Cena as a heel, but not with his current image. Like he said, he is just Cena out there. When he was a heel before, he had a rapper gimmick. Many people loved the gimmick, and wish he would go back to it.
I would like to see him go heel only if he would go back to his old gimmick. With the PG gimmick, I don't know how it could happen though. Right now, Cena is a big time cash cow for the WWE.
They put him in all the WWE Films projects that actually get in theaters, and the kids love him. But that is the thing, kids like him, not so much with adults or the 18-30 demographic.
That was who he pandered to before, but now that he is a guy kids love more, his fan base has decreased in the 18-30 demographic, which is the key demographic out there if you ask me.
You can actually tell the difference in his two movies.
The Marine made $3 million to $4 million more than 12 Rounds did. Its not that The Marine was better than 12 Rounds, but he had a loyal fanbase with who he pandered to at the time, the 18-30 demographic.
12 Rounds was just released on DVD, so sales for that will help its total money earned compared to the Marine. But the Marine made a lot in DVDs, too. So either way the Marine will obviously be the best out of the two.
And that is no coincidence. Fans like the other Cena better, and they are not on the bandwagon with him as much anymore because of his image.
And while he can still be the same Cena, he needs to still do a bit of his rapping gimmick every once in a while too.
He doesn't have to go heel to do it either, he just has to do it. Fans love the insults and put downs Cena did to others with the rapping gimmick. If one Cena makes more money than the other, then why is Vince not switching things up?
He is all about the money right? Then why not make the smart business decision and either turn Cena heel or give us the old Cena back.
Keep in mind, it was the WWE who changed Cena not Cena. As a matter of fact, Cena had the idea for the gimmick he used anyway. He loved doing it, so he wouldn't just throw it out.
He won Championships under it, so it is not like he is more successful as the Cena we see now either. The WWE, more importantly Vince McMahon needs to figure this out if you ask me.
Jeff Hardy Update
I know, I know. Jeff Hardy has been in the 411 a lot, but I have to report it. Hardy's WWE Contract is a big topic of course, and the 411 covers that sort of thing. The contract ends July 31. So that will get him through Night of Champions of course.
It is pretty obvious that he will not win the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk, but there is a chance that if he stays he could be Champion again.
Hardy is arguably the biggest star in the WWE right now, and if he leaves fans will be upset. The WWE knows this, which is why they want him to re-sign.
Rumors about Hardy said he would probably not be re-signing with them, and he would take a few years off.
That all changed when he did a few interviews saying he wanted to re-sign if the WWE gives him a fair deal.
Which seems like the right thing to say if your Jeff Hardy, and it is also, well, fair. The WWE should pay him what he asks, and anything close to $5 million to $9 million is about right to me.
He is just as big in the WWE Universe as Triple H, John Cena, and Randy Orton. They all make the same or above that amount. So Hardy deserves the same treatment; this could be where the controversy started between the two parties.
The WWE didn't want to pay him as much as he deserved and Hardy threatened to walk. And he should if the WWE doesn't give him the fair deal.
It if just like the NBA, NFL, or MLB. The best stars on the team make the most money. If LeBron James wants a certain amount, you pay him that amount because of what he can do with your team.
Hardy is big for the WWE, and I think the WWE will finally give in and pay him in the end.
Right now the WWE wants him to stay at least until Summerslam or when The Undertaker comes back, which is supposed to be Sept. 1. If they can't get a deal done, they will pay him by match or appearance until that time.
If they do get a deal done with Hardy, he will take time off at that time anyway according to WWE officials.
He really wants time off, and the WWE can take him out of storylines when Undertaker gets back. Mainly because Taker can be a face on the program and take the place of Hardy.
So either way, once Taker is back, expect Hardy to be gone for a while.
I feel personally that the WWE will pay Hardy what he deserves and we will see a long-term deal done with him. Only time will tell for now.
Shawn Michaels Return
I get a lot of the same old questions; have you found out when HBK is coming back? heard anything on HBK? I have the answer.
According to many reports, WWE RAW Superstar Shawn Michaels told the WWE that he may not want to come back when originally scheduled because he wanted to spend more time with his family.
He has been out since his Wrestlemania match with The Undertaker, and he has had some knee problems for some time that he has needed to rest. He has been telling people that he feels much better, and could come back anytime.
He also said that he is willing to come back when asked by the WWE. They originally had him scheduled to come back in late August, so plan on seeing him back then because of the fact that he now wants to come back.
I think Michaels used the excuse of his family before because he still wasn't feeling great. Now that he is, he has no problem coming back.
Of course, Michaels loves his family and does want to be with them, but I think he said what he did because he just didn't know how he would feel at the time.
As a matter of fact, Michaels now has a lighter schedule which means he will be able to spend more time with his family and not be as beaten up when he does.
So in knowing this, Micheals can come back knowing he won't be tied down to a long drawn out schedule like he was before.
Dos Caras Jr. Update
As the 411 stated before, Dos Caras Jr. signed a three-year deal with the WWE. Mexican newspapers had Caras coming straight to RAW. I knew this wouldn't happen myself, and it was completely obvious to Americans or people who know about the WWE.
To confirm everything, Caras had his first match on FCW in a losing effort against Kris Logan last night. He is using his name like the Mexican Newspapers said, but not his full name. He is now going simply by "Dos."
That could be changed when he gets called up a main roster. The normal call up time for FCW stars is within six months to two years.
I think because Dos is already so good that we could see him later in the year. Maybe even earlier than that, but I don't think we are going to see him next week or anything.
My goal time to see him personally would be late November or early December on the SmackDown roster. Lets hope the WWE does well with him, because he can be a big star if used the right way.
Mr. Kennedy Update
Being an unemployed wrestler has not taken Mr. Kennedy's personality away. He has always been against a lot of the stupidity of social networking. So he made a video about it that you can see here.

There is a rumor about him going to TNA, so I'd plan on seeing what comes on this around September when his no complete clause from his WWE contract expires.
I personally think he will go to TNA, but we will have to see.
That is all for the 411, make sure to come back Sunday when the next edition comes out.
