Napoli President Praises Transfer Target Marouane Fellaini for His Hair

Marouane Fellaini has been linked with a £15 million move to Napoli after a season to forget at Manchester United, and the president of the club, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has suggested he'd be a good fit because of his hair.

Per The Guardian, De Laurentiis told Italian radio station Kiss Kiss: “Fellaini is one of the names on the table, but not the only one."

But the reasoning was more bizarre, with De Laurentiis saying his hair would jell well (sorry) with prospective midfield partner Gokhan Inler.

And as if it needed emphasising that De Laurentiis is a bit unusual, the president unveiled Inler while having him wear a lion's mask back in 2011.

On the duo, he added:

"

They would make a nice pair. Fellaini has long hair and the Swiss [Inler] is shaven. Together they have a hairstyle that looks like a lion’s mane and three years ago I presented Inler with the mask of a lion!

"

We'll leave you to do your own joke about his hair being more of an asset than his football...
