A player who goes for the low tackle typically wins the battle, but if the ball-carrier has an enormous amount of power, it doesn't matter who has better positioning.
During a match in Africa's Bamburi Super Series, one defender got run over by a powerful ball-carrier. The defender had the right idea by going low, but things just didn't go as planned.
