2010 UNGL WILL GET IT DONE FOR THE PLAYERS
Dear UNGL hopefuls,
I want to take this opportunity to clear the air on a couple of issues that will help you
make the MOST of our first Regional Mini Camp on August 15th in DeLand, FL.
Despite what some in the press and blogs have stated, the UNGL (from the beginning)
has been designed to support the dreams of aspiring athletes (like yourself) to have a
career in professional football. My guess is you who have probably worked hard, and
struggled tirelessly, to gain access to pro scouts and player personnel in various
professional football leagues. You know first-hand how hard and challenging this
journey can be.
Our PRIMARY goal in the UNGL is to BE THERE FOR YOU in providing a platform
to develop and showcase your professional football talent to the widest audience of
possible. And how are we going to go about doing that you say? -- Well, it might be
a good idea for you to look at the UNGL mini camp opportunity in this way:
1. We will provide you with the opportunity to participate in LIVE football action
....isn’t that what you want as a REAL ballplayer?
2. GET CURRENT FILM....wouldn’t you rather that scouts and player personnel
people see WHERE YOU ARE TODAY in your skill development? -- instead of
what you did 1, 2, 3 years ago or more?
3. The chance to COMPETE against different players at the same or higher skill
level from different areas of the U.S. And don’t forget -- we plan to go beyond
the “traditional combine” where only certain measureables are evaluated.
And since we are truly a “developmental league” we will be filming all sessions, and
will make it available to you for purchase on DVD, which you certainly can use to
promote yourself to other professional football leagues....not just the UNGL.
REMEMBER, our main purpose is to get you exposure to scouts and player personnel
of other leagues where you can have a shot at having a career. You will NOT be just
limited to playing in the UNGL.
Also (before I forget) let me address another “slanderous rumor “ that seems to be
floating around in some “un-informed” circles. Despite what you might be hearing,
as a league, the UNGL is still on track in raising our funding for the 2010 season.
This in why we did NOT create our regional mini camps to be “revenue generators”
for us (this also explains our “low” pre-registration fee of $65.00).
Our mini camp is REALLY about YOU the player, and that’s why we are scheduling
these regional camps to allow the members of our trained and qualified scouting
department, to evaluate all players that want to be considered for our 2010 draft pool
and season. There is no better vehicle available today than our regional mini camps to
evaluate players. We get to see “real players” in a setting where they can put on the
pads, and show off their FOOTBALL SKILLS and knowledge in real football action,
at real football speed.
In closing, DON’T let the “rumor mill” kill your dream. We want to serve as your
launching pad to a pro career. You have EVERYTHING to gain....(and nothing to lose)
by attending our mini camp on August 15th.
