Chicago Bulls Need To Pursue Dwyane Wade

andy mungerJul 8, 2009

Dwyane Wade would be a great fix for the Chicago Bulls.

The former high school star from the Chicago area is tired of Miami and may not re-sign with the Heat. If the Bulls would get this great future Hall of Famer, they will drastically improve than the team they were that featured Ben Gordon.

I wish the Bulls had picked Wade in the draft in 2003 rather than the sub-par and average Kirk Hinrich. Wade would form an awesome Chicago-native tandem with Derrick Rose and lead the Bulls past that pathetic .500 rut they seem to be stuck in. The move also will excite fans and bring more interest to this basketball team.

Wade would not accept mediocrity, and he would demand perfection just like Michael Jordon. This is what the Bulls have been missing all these years, as their rosters have been filled with average players just happy to get that big fat athlete's paycheck.

There are many NBA insiders who think the Bulls stand a solid chance of landing  Wade. Chicago offers a chance for Wade to get more exposure, and by letting Gordon go, the Bulls are in better position to land a bigger prize.

Bulls fans need to pray and hope this guy decides to leave the dinosaur Pat Riley and the Heat of Miami for his Chicago land of Lincoln homeland. The Bulls will just offer the same nonsense that fans saw last year and the many years before that after their great run ended.

It would be expensive, but the Bulls saved a lot of money by not signing the overrated Gordon to the big contract he sought. Money would be better suited to a player who is not selfish and underachieving and able to deliver the ball to the open man.

I think the Bulls' only chance at returning to the days of glory would have to require getting a player of Wade's ability.
