A.J. Green sat out Thursday's practice as he nurses a foot injury that limited him on Wednesday.
Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com shared the news:
"Also out Thursday was Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Green. Limited with a foot injury Wednesday, he didn't dress Thursday. Also not dressing but apparently getting a veteran's day off for their knees like they did before playing last week were left tackle Andrew Whitworth and left guard Clint Boling. Guard Mike Pollak (knee) and defensive tackle Geno Atkins (feet) were back to practice.
"
Green's numbers have steadily risen in his first three years in the NFL, and he has thus become the most important piece of the Bengals offense. Last year, he caught 98 passes for 1,426 yards and 11 touchdowns. Giovani Bernard was second in receptions (56), and Marvin Jones was second in yards (712).
With Jones also injured and Tyler Eifert already out with an elbow injury sustained in Week 1, losing Green would be a major blow to the Bengals offense.
Despite helping Cincinnati reach three straight postseasons, Andy Dalton is under a massive amount of pressure this year. He arguably regressed from 2012 to 2013 and hasn't cleared his first-round hurdle in the playoffs. He also signed a contract extension and is expected to prove he can lead this team to Super Bowl contention.

If Green were to miss any time, Dalton's either going to sink or swim. As a result, these next few days will be crucial to see how Green responds to the rest and if he can suit up.
Expect Cincinnati to lean heavily on Bernard and Jeremy Hill if Green is out. The team has a sound defense and strong running game, but there's no doubt Green is its difference-maker.
