The Million-Dollar Screw-Up
Hello everyone. As always, thank you for spending a few minutes with me today.
After watching Raw tonight, I have to say that I'm just a little annoyed right now. I have been waiting some time to finally see young Ted make his move. The WWE has been slowly building up heat between him and Orton.
A year ago Orton, supposedly, knocked out DiBiase with a punt. When that happened I said to myself, "OK here comes the split." Ted comes back only to still serve as Orton's lackey.

As time starts to pass I soon forget about it. Then, last week they throw us another teaser when DiBiase speaks up for himself. So I say to myself, "Hey, this can lead into something promising."
It was announced that the "Million Dollar Man" is running the show this week. Instant bells start to go off in my head. I, then, get even more stoked after he announces his son will be fighting Orton. A little later in the show they have Orton and young Ted cut a nice segment. At this point of the show—I won't lie to you folks—I was pumped up. I was finally going to see my personal favorite up-and-comer get some solo spotlight.
When Orton's music hit you could tell the arena was pumped. When DiBiase's music hit it was off the pages. My folks, the stage was set for a classic match tonight: Orton vs. DiBiase, teacher vs. student. The script was perfect. What we would witness, though, was far from a classic match. It wasn't even close to a great match. What the WWE gave us tonight was garbage.
Now, folks, I had no grand delusions that DiBiase was going to win. In fact I knew he wasn't going to win. What I did expect to see was a classic match between two good wrestlers. This was a prime opportunity to let one of their real up-and-comers make some noise. Instead they handed us crap on a stick. I'm not saying it was the worst match ever. What I am saying is they could have made it a whole lot better. I watched DiBiase pretty much get his ass handed to him.
I don't even want to hear about the few moments here or there when he got some offense in. They let him get in a nice power move.
WOOOOOO HOOOOO thanks!
They didn't even let him slap on his finishing hold.
DiBiase spent most of the match laying on the mat. It was real nice to let him score some role ups! I, literally, wanted to throw my beer through the TV set.
The WWE had a chance to give its fans something special to remember. Instead all we got last night was nothing more than a glorified squash match.
It's going to take some time to build up DiBiase's stock again after last night's debacle. They took something that took a year to build and killed it in 10 minutes. Thank you, once again, WWE. It's clear to me why you guys are the kings of wrestling.
Once again, thanks for spending a few minutes with me.
As always, have a great night and God bless.
