Mavs Can Get Seventh or Eighth at The Most
Well if the Mavs don't sign a decent center or shooting guard.
Don't expect the Mavs to have home court in the playoffs or even make it next year.
Or at least a trade. Maybe someone like Michael Redd whom the Bucks don't really need. They're in a rebuilding stage it seems like.
Pistons are letting go of center Rasheed Wallace. Sign him and possibly Marcin Gortat and you have a pretty strong frontcourt.
Trade Possibilities: For Michael Redd
Antoine Wright: young, defensive stopper
Jerry Stackhouse: $2 million buyout.
Cash and future picks could work.
Just imagine a lineup like this:
PG: Jason Kidd (assuming he signs) PG: Jose Barea
SG: Michael Redd SG: Jason Terry
SF: Josh Howard SF: James Singleton
PF: Dirk Nowitzki PF: Brandon Bass
C: Rasheed Wallace C: Marcin Gortat
Pretty dangerous team if you ask me.
Look at the teams in the League that made improvements:
Lakers: Sign Ron Artest.
Spurs: Trading For Richard Jefferson.
Memphis Grizzlies: A young team that just got a defensive force.
Oklahoma City: A team that is very young and explosive. Led by Kevin Durant.
Orlando: Vince Carter from NJ. Adding yet another all - star player.
Toronto: Taking Hedo from the Portland Trail Blazers
Atlanta: Trading to Golden State for Jamal Crawford.
Detroit: Signing of Villanueva and Gordon and the firing of Michael Curry.
Maybe Houston since they acquired Trevor Ariza but lost Yao and Artest.
