Breaking News: Hedo Turkoglu Ends Talks with Portland,Will Not Become a Blazer
Just hours ago, Hedo Turkoglu was reportedly a Blazer, after "agreeing" in terms to a contract with Portland.
Not so fast NBA Nation: that news can be put to rest.
According to OregonLive.com, a local media site covering everything going on along the state, has reported that Turkoglu and the Blazers have ended discussions of an actual contract, thus Hedo still being a free agent and is back on the market.
He is scheduled to leave Portland tomorrow morning.
With the addition of Turkoglu, the Blazers were thought to be a contender in the Western Conference with the Spurs and the Lakers.
The clutch shots Hedo made in the playoffs, and being most improved player a few seasons ago, has led to him wanting a big time contract.
The question is: what other options are there?
The Magic most likely will not be able to sign him with the trading of high priced Vince Carter.
Would the Cavaliers actually be able to make an intriguing offer to bring in another offensive weapon?
After all, they did fail to bring in either Ron Artest or Trevor Ariza.
There could be hope that the Blazers could start up the talks within the next few days,as they do seem like the best fir for Hedo's services.
