🚨 Andreeva Wins Roland-Garros

Rafael Nadal and Fellow Pros Juggle with Rackets in New Babolat Commercials

Dan CarsonMay 31, 2018

Rafael Nadal: Still very good at all things tennis-ish.

The Spanish tennis pro proved once again why he’s one of the best in the business after juggling a tennis ball on the edge of his racket an astonishing 406 times in a new commercial for French sports equipment company Babolat.

Titled “The 2014 #Wimbjuggledon Champion,” the ad shows Nadal equipped with a racket and chest-mounted GoPro camera, ready to take the art of tennis juggling to the next level.

“I haven’t done this in 20 years,” Nadal says before starting. “One time, I did more than 100.”

Very modest of you, Nadal, but it’s clear you’ve been practicing. The 28-year-old went about the business of juggling with ease, keeping the ball up and off the grass. He’s not exactly unfamiliar when it comes to using these racket things.

Wimbjuggledon wasn’t a solo affair, however. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Caroline Wozniacki, Aga Radwanska and other pros strapped on GoPros and gave the juggling a try.

Oh, so you fancy, Tsonga?

As you can see, the French tennis player pulled out all the stops, but, according to Babolat, no one came close to matching Nadal’s 406 bounces. The company announced Nadal as the Wimbjuggledon champion on Sunday.

As for the real Wimbledon, Nadal defeated Kazakhstani pro Mikhail Kukushkin on Sunday to join a cast of the usual suspects in the fourth round of play. Roger Federer, Novac Djokovic and Andy Murray have all made it into the second week of play in a Wimbledon that remains wide open.

Someone’s going to drop the ball sooner than later, but Nadal is beginning to look dangerous as ever on the grass. Even when he’s not on the court he’s winning.
