Chiefs' Mahomes Dilemma 🤔
Player Of The Day: Michael Bush
Bryan BrackneyJul 3, 2009
Believe it or not Michael Bush played quarterback in high school. He also played defensive back, defensive end, linebacker, running back, safety, and wide receiver. As a quarterback he lead his team to the state championship.
Bush chose to attend Louisville because Bobby Petrino promised him that he would play quarterback. Because the Cardinals were already established at quarterback, Bush was forced to play running back, where he rushed for 503 yards and 6 touchdowns. He also saw time at wide receiver.

In 2004 Bush was moved to running back, because Petrino decided that he was going to recruit Brian Brohm. Bush ran for 734 yards and seven touchdowns as a back up his sophomore season.
Bush started as a running back in 2005 and rushed for 1143 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was considered as a Heisman trophy candidate, and he decided to return to school. That was his worst decision of his career.
Coming into 2006 Bush was expected to be the top running back drafted, but after being tackled by Wesley Woodyard he broke his fibula. Bush was out for at least one season.
Bush was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the fourth round, bud did not play in 2007, because of his injury. In 2008 Bush broke out. Running only 95 times, he rushed for 421 yards and three touchdowns.
