Miami Heat Receive: Shabazz Napier
Charlotte Hornets Receive: Picks No. 26 (P.J. Hairston), 55 and future second-rounder

The Heat catered to LeBron James' (unspoken?) request by trading up in the draft to select Napier of the NCAA Champion UConn Huskies.

It's no secret that Miami needed a point guard, and with Napier they got a proven winner and leader.

Napier led the Huskies to a championship as a senior, averaging 18.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.9 assists.

While size is an issue (6'1", 180lbs), Napier should bring a lot of heart and passion to the Heat. They needed a prospect in the draft who was ready to play immediately, and Napier fits the bill.

A great move by Miami to not only improve their team, but also keep James happy as he enters unrestricted free agency this summer.
