Milwaukee Brewers Score 3 Runs on Wild Pitch vs. Rockies
June 21, 2014
This may just be one of the worst defensive plays of the MLB season.
During Saturday's game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies, the Brewers had the bases loaded in the top of the third. Rockies pitcher Christian Friedrich proceeded to throw a wild pitch, allowing a run to score. Bad, but not that unusual.
Catcher Michael McKenry then tried to throw back to Friedrich and missed the target, though, allowing a second run to come home.
As if that wasn't enough, Friedrich stopped paying attention while Jean Segura started sneaking toward home plate, and the 26-year-old pitcher wasn't able to scramble back and tag him in time.
This is a lock forΒ SportsCenter'sΒ "Not Top 10."
