Colts All Decade Team: Role Players

The Colts CornerJul 1, 2009

Running Back: Edgerrin James was my favorite player until he left to Arizona. Edge holds the Colts all time records for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. He went to the pro bowl four out of six seasons in which he played in Indianapolis. Edge was selected over Ricky Williams in the 1999 draft, good thing too. Without Edge, the Colts might not be the team they are today. They might be the Saints. Dominic Rhodes gets my vote over Addai for backup running back.

Tight End: Dallas Clark has been amazing the last couple of seasons. Clark was snubbed from the pro bowl last season, after posting over 800 yards receiving. He broke John mackeys franchise record for yards in a season by a tight end. He set the team single season record for touchdowns by a tight end. Marcus Pollard, Bryan Fletcher, and Ben Utecht were far behind.

Wide Receiver: Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne help make the most prolific duo of wide receivers in the history of football. Marvin Harrison has been to the pro bowl 8 of the last 10 seasons. Harrison holds the records for most receptions in a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 year periods, as well as the record for most receptions in a season. Harrison also owns about 20 more records. Wayne has been to the pro bowl three out of the last eight seasons, but he has been snubbed from pleanty of them.
