College Football 2008 What a Playoff Would have looked like.
This is my review of the 2008 College Football season and how i think it would have broke down using my playoff system.
Every Conference champion gets a slot plus five at large slots.
Here are the slots:
1. FLORIDA 12-1 SEC CHAMPS
2. OKLAHOMA 12-1 BIG 12 CHAMPS
3. TEXAS 11-1 AT-LARGE
4. PENN STATE 11-1 BIG 10 CHAMPS
5. USC 11-1 PAC 10 CHAMPS
6. UTAH 12-0 MOUNTAIN WEST
7. ALABAMA 12-1 AT-LARGE
8. BOISE STATE 12-0 WAC CHAMPS
9. OHIO STATE 10-2 AT-LARGE
10. TEXAS TECH 11-1 AT-LARGE
11. CINCINNATI 11-2 BIG EAST CHAMPS
12. TCU 10-2 AT-LARGE
13. VIRGINIA TECH 9-4 ACC CHAMPS
14. EAST CAROLINA 9-4 CONF USA CHAMPS
15. BUFFALO 8-5 MAC CHAMPS
16. TROY 8-4 SUN BELT CHAMPS
OKAY THE FIRST ROUND IS EASY 1 PLAYS 16, 2 PLAYS 15 AND SO ON. HERE ARE MY WINNERS OF ROUND 1
#1 FLORIDA
#2 OKLAHOMA
#3 TEXAS
#4 PENN STATE
#5 USC
#6 UTAH
#7 ALABAMA
#9 OHIO STATE
So now 1 plays 9, 2 vs 7, 3vs 6 and 4 vs 5.
And the winners are
#1 FLORIDA
#2 OKLAHOMA
#3 TEXAS
#5 USC
So now its 1 vs 5, 2 vs 3.
And the National Championship game would be
#1 FLORIDA VS #3 TEXAS
And the National Champion is the Florida Gators.
Now yes this was the result of last year having Florida win but i feel the Gators were the best team last year.
This is just my opinion. Please if you have any teams that should have been included as a at large team leave a comment stating your case.
