Though Steve Sarkisian has yet to coach a game for the Trojans, he has already made a significant impact on USC's recruiting fortunes.

Following up a fantastic finish to the 2014 recruiting class, Sark has already crafted what many think is a top 15 group of players, who have given the Trojans their verbal pledge for next year.

Now working with a full complement of scholarships after completing the NCAA imposed sanctions, the USC recruiting brain trust is not sitting on its laurels, though.

Indeed, the Trojans still have a bevy of high profile recruits on their radar and one of the most highly regarded of those players is the subject of this slideshow.

Iman Marshall is a big (6'1.5", 190 pounds) cornerback who is regarded as one of the finest prep players in the nation.

Rated a 5-star prospect by, the Polytechnic High School (Long Beach, Calif.) product has everything and more one looks for in a lock down corner.

Marshall, whose nickname is "Biggie," is a priority for USC and though he is giving the Trojans a very long look, outwardly he remains mum on where he will wind up.

However, here are five reasons why Marshall will wind up in the Cardinal and Gold when all is said and done.

Or at least why he should.

USC Has a Long Tradition of Recruiting Long Beach Poly Players

In California, Long Beach Poly High School has long been a power in prep football at the highest level.

As such, USC has dipped into the Jackrabbit talent pool throughout the years and some of the players plucked from the program have been among the best ever to play for the men of Troy.

Included among those Trojan luminaries are linebacker Willie McGinest, safety Mark Carrier, running back Hershel Dennis and wide receiver Kareem Kelly just to name a few.

All outstanding Trojans to be sure.

And the Trojan pipeline from Poly remains strong as will be evidenced in the next slide...

USC Just Signed Marshall's Former Poly Teammate, 5-Star JuJu Smith

While the Trojans have a long history of signing former Jackrabbits, it is the 2014 pledge they received from's 5-star safety/wide receiver John "JuJu" Smith that may have more influence on Marshall's signing with USC.

Having starred with Smith to form one of the best prep defensive backfields in 2013, Marshall is well aware of Smith's arrival at USC and what the Trojans have done in last year's recruiting cycle.

According to's Rick Kimbrel, Marshall had this to say about USC's 2014 recruiting class, "I love what SC is bringing with the big recruits they signed like Damien Mama, Adoree’ Jackson and my former teammate “JuJu” [John Smith]."

Will Smith and Marshall team up again at USC? Time will tell.

Want to Get to the NFL, Biggie? USC Is the Place That Will Get You There...

As Biggie Marshall matriculates his way through the various levels of football, his final destination will involve playing on Sunday's for an organization called the "NFL."

And in that pursuit, there is no better place to act as a springboard for that eventuality than the University of Southern California.

USC has had more players drafted in the NFL (475) and the most drafted in the first round (77) than any other program in history.

With a proven track record of putting players into the pros, Marshall would do well to ply his trade for the Trojans along the way.

USC Really, Really, Wants You, Biggie

It's good to be wanted and the Trojans really want Biggie Marshall.

In fact, USC wants Marshall so badly that they have actually produced a "Most Wanted" poster to let him know of their desires:

C'mon, It's USC, Biggie...What More Could You Want?

When all is said and done, the best argument for Marshall to sign with the Trojans is simply that it is USC.

As storied a program as there is, USC has long been the primary destination in the west for decades for high school football players and that is not likely to change anytime soon.

In fact, with the Trojans' apparent resurgence under new head coach Steve Sarkisian, the men of Troy appear to be on the fast track to reclaim the glory they experienced not so long ago.

Located in a fast-paced city chock full of beautiful women, incredible weather and opportunities that will last a lifetime simply because he is a Trojan, Marshall can reap the rewards that only USC can offer.

Besides, this is your home, Biggie, why leave?

Although Biggie Marshall was the focus of this slideshow featuring the most wanted recruit of the 2015 class, it very well could have been another player.

That is because USC is in on some other very talented recruits including guys like defensive end Rasheem Green and linebacker John Houston, both from Serra High School and both 5-star prospects.

But that is not all as the Trojans are in pursuit of many premier prep players across the nation.

So will Iman Marshall choose USC when it comes the time to sign on his Letter of Intent?

That remains to be seen but when Marshall sorts out the clutter of his multitude of scholarship offers, he should see that USC can offer him what no other program can.

And if Biggie does indeed sign with the Trojans, it will be more than a small victory for Sark and his crew.
