Roger Federer's Reflections On Michael Jackson's Passing (Satire)
After Roger Federer's successful match against Philipp Kohlschreiber today, he went to the side of the court to field some questions with a reporter.
After a few standard questions about the match and the next one, the reporter asked Roger about the passing of Michael Jackson.
Reporter: Roger, have you heard about the passing of Michael Jackson and if so what was your reaction?
Roger Federer: I mean yeah, it was quite a shock to hear that news. Michael and myself are much alike in that we are both timid outside of what we do, but when we do what we are good at we do it with passion and to be the best.
Reporter: Are you a Michael Jackson fan?
Roger Federer: Oh yeah sure. I mean I got all the moves. Some of my footwork on the court, I owe to Michael Jackson. Let me show you.
Roger does a high Jacksonesque kick and let's out a high pierced "OOO". He immediately does a double spin on the court followed by going up on his toes. He ends with both of his legs straight open looking down while his right hand is pointing with the index finger upward.
Reporter: Wow, Roger that is pretty good.
Roger Federer: Wait there's more...
Roger starts to sing "Thriller" marching left with both of his hands up like claws. He marches right and then marches half-time from left to right and then left again in the Michael Jackson "Thriller" move.
He is about to do more when he hears Mirka across the court yelling at him.
Roger Federer: Oops. Mirka hates when I go into all of it but it is in my blood.
Federer looks behind him towards Mirka.
Roger Federer: Everybody clear the way! I am coming through!
Roger smoothly moonwalks across the grass court to wild and tumultuous applause. One final upward peace sign to the crowd and he disappears to join Mirka for a well deserved weekend off.
RIP Michael Jackson
