Kings XI Punjab vs. Mumbai Indians, IPL 7: Video Highlights, Scorecard, Report
Mumbai Indians romped to a seven-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab thanks to a confident and impressive performance.
Kings XI Punjab posted 156-8 in their 20 overs—it looked to be under-par and it proved exactly that.
Lendl Simmons chased it down almost single-handedly, his superb innings of 100 getting his side home with plenty to spare.

Mumbai continue their good form, and complete a double over the table-topping Kings XI, who will be eager to ensure that this defeat does not represent a dip in form with the business end of the tournament about to begin.
Virender Sehwag got the innings off to a flyer before a a freak run out ended his innings after the first ball of the third over.
But with confidence high at Kings XI Punjab, it looked as if the momentum would continue.
Manan Vohra played with the same fluency that made people take note of the 20-year-old's earlier performances, while Shaun Marsh, recalled to the team, blitzed 30 from 17 balls.
But when Marsh fell trying to launch the ball over long on, a collapse from 87-1 ensued.
Vohra was bowled trying to slog Shreyas Gopal across the line, while Glenn Maxwell, Wriddhiman Saha and Akshar Patel were all out for single-figure scores.
"Glenn Maxwell has been dismissed by leggies on 6 occasions in #IPL, but has 133 runs in 69 balls off them (S/r 192.75 & 14 sixes) #KXIPvMI

Only the persistence of captain George Bailey managed to prop the total up to 156, his 39 just about holding the innings together.

But it was not enough, as Simmons led the charge with Mike Hussey in tow.
The opening stand was worth 68 in just seven overs—remarkably, when Hussey was put out of his misery, he had contributed just six runs to the partnership.
Ambati Rayudu was busy between the wickets for his 17, but Simmons stole the show.
He struck the ball with authority and class against seam and spin alike, and justified once more his elevation to the opener's role late on in the tournament.
All eyes turned to whether he could notch his century—he did, ending unbeaten on exactly 100 from 61 balls, leaving Kieron Pollard to finish the game in style with a maximum.
