Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Chennai, IPL 2014: Video Highlights, Scorecard, Report
Kolkata Knight Riders enjoyed a comfortable eight-wicket victory against Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday to bring up their fifth straight win in the 2014 Indian Premier League.
Kolkata are now just four points behind leaders Kings XI Punjab, who have a game in hand, and two behind the Super Kings—who missed the chance to pull level with Kings XI at the top of the table.
The Knight Riders won the toss at Eden Gardens in Kolkata and elected to take the field.
Chennai's innings began badly, with Dwayne Smith falling in the second over to Pat Cummins. Brendon McCullum and Suresh Raina steadied the ship with a nice partnership to follow, but the runs were coming slowly for the Super Kings.
Raina top-scored with 65 from 52 balls, while McCullum contributed 28. Francois du Plessis and MS Dhoni then helped Chennai to a 20-over total of 154-4.

It was left to Manish Pandey and Shakib Al Hasan to steer Kolkata to victory, with the latter scoring 46 from 21 balls to take the Knight Riders home with two overs to spare.
