Serge Ibaka Welcomes LA Clippers to His Block Party

Stephen BabbMay 11, 2014

Serge Ibaka knows a thing or two about protecting the rim. He got his second and third blocks of Game 4 on consecutive shots, helping the Oklahoma City Thunder jumper out to an early first-half lead over the Los Angeles Clippers. This time, the victims were DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul.

Ibaka's physical play has almost certainly impacted the Clippers. It impacted Blake Griffin in a particularly sensitive area earlier in the first quarter.

Ibaka got all ball this time, though.

A game ago, Griffin suffered a bloody nose on account of Ibaka's elbow.

There was at least one shot Ibaka couldn't get to, though. Jordan got a little revenge for the early block with this stuff.

This series is in no small part being played above the rim.
