That was just one of many wild decisions in this draft and many more are sure to be on the horizon. Keep reading for a full list of draft grades from Round 1, plus a look at the upcoming order of selections and Day 2 storylines to follow.

Biggest Day 2 Storyline: Who Goes First?
The Texans are back on the clock, this time with the first overall selection in the second round. There are still plenty of elite prospects on the board, so it’ll be quite interesting to see what direction the franchise takes.
Things went as expected when Houston first picked, as the franchise decided to go with a sure thing via Jadeveon Clowney—the once-in-a-generation pass-rushing talent out of South Carolina. However, the club could look to shake it up a bit and gamble with the No. 33 overall selection.
Quarterback is a clear position of need for this organization, but there is some talk that the Texans will pull off a trade for Ryan Mallett, the New England Patriots' backup signal-caller.
As per NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport (via Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com), the Texans have a “lot of interest” in acquiring Mallett, who played under current Texans head coach Bill O’Brien back when he was the Pats’ offensive coordinator.
John McClain of the Houston Chronicle explained why the Texans are interested in Mallett’s services:
Tom E. Curran of CSNNE.com noted that the Texans might be giving up a third-rounder for Mallett, but there are conflicting reports swirling about:
"One source reports that a Ryan Mallett-to-the-Texans trade may completed soon. According to that source, the Patriots will receive a third-round pick in return. Another source, however, says nothing is doing at the moment on Mallett to Houston.
"
Should the Texans pull off this deal, the odds of them nabbing a quarterback in the second round will be lower. Instead, look for the club to explore the possibility of bringing in a running back to lighten the load of star tailback Arian Foster.
The elite rusher recently suffered through an injury-plagued 2013 campaign and has taken an immense amount of snaps during his short career, while former backup Ben Tate signed with the Cleveland Browns earlier in the offseason.
With no running backs drafted on Day 1, there are several elite-level running backs on the board. Carlos Hyde, Jeremy Hill and Tre Mason should all be in the discussion if Houston elects to upgrade the position in the second round.
However, this draft has been immensely unpredictable and it seems just about every scenario is still in play and will be until the pick is in later tonight.
