Brie Bella Should Not Be the Force Behind the Daniel Bryan/Kane Feud
Nothing is perfect, even in the world of professional wrestling.
Daniel Bryan achieved his dream of becoming the WWE World Heavyweight Champion by defeating Batista and Randy Orton at WrestleMania 30, an impressive event followed by his win over Kane at Extreme Rules.
The road wasn’t a smooth or perfect one for either of these outcomes. In fact, that journey which is still happening, is riddled with mistakes.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Take Brie Bella, for example. Bella recently married Bryan, which WWE chose to make public in their reality show Total Divas. Bella started accompanying Bryan on Raw. This past edition of Raw was no exception.
The May 5 episode had Bryan and Bella worrying about Kane attacking them throughout the night. The couple would run into Kane later that night. That segment revealed one major flaw: Bella’s reaction.
Bryan and Bella fled from Kane and got into their rental car, where Kane appeared from behind. What happened next is a moment that will live forever for the wrong reasons.
Bella screamed at high screeching decibels in quite possibly one of the worst ways ever. The acting was deplorable! You could almost hear her fingernails scratching the chalkboard. Bryan and Bella both were able to evade the Devil’s Favorite Demon, but they can’t avoid scrutiny.
Even Mick Foley was concerned for the angle’s direction. He also stated on Facebook how this angle could send Bryan’s career plummeting down. This only proves the obvious for the WWE Universe.
Bella should not be the force behind Bryan’s feud with Kane.
Why should she? There’s plenty of history behind these two to make the Kane/Bryan rivalry stick. They were tag team partners in the highly popular Team Hell No. They also had problems in February during Bryan’s fight towards the title, as Kane sided in The Authority’s quest to stop Bryan.
There’s no need to make Bella a focal point during this storyline. Unfortunately, this appears to be the way it’s going.
Bella shouldn’t get all the blame. It’s not entirely her fault for ineffectively reacting to a storyline. The WWE writers mistakenly must have thought it would bring a personal touch to the feud.
If you recall, it has worked before. Fans did care for Stephanie McMahon when she was made the main reason behind why Triple H fought Vince McMahon in December of 1999.
Unfortunately, the direction isn’t where it was supposed to go. Kane and Bryan’s feud was supposed to be over at Extreme Rules. Maybe some of the blame lies on Batista, who was supposed to become Bryan’s next opponent as reported by F4WOnline.com (via WrestleZone). Batista allegedly refused to lose to Bryan when the pay wasn’t enough, although ProWrestling.net (via WrestleZone) reports those rumors. Regardless, why would we want that horrible segment?
Bella’s acting skills leave much to be desired. Sometimes, rivalries work best when they aren’t complicated. How could the WWE writing staff make this work? Obviously, the best scenario has to focus on Bryan and Kane. Forget the Bella angle; it doesn’t work.
