Minor League Baseball Game Delayed by Geyser-Like Sprinkler Malfunction
April 30, 2014
A game between the Class-A Fort Wayne TinCaps and the Great Lakes Loons was delayed for 18 minutes after TinCaps first baseman Fernando Perez kicked a sprinkler head that had water shooting into the air like a geyser.
Water shot roughly 20 feet into the air, according to OurSportsCentral, before the sprinkler was shut off, followed by a break to allow the field to sufficiently dry before play resumed.
The Loons ended up winning by a score of 15-4.
