This is the question hockey fans attempted to parse out Monday night after watching a Minnesota Wild fan go bat-stick crazy on the Colorado Avalanche.
@CJZero captured a Vine of the young lady’s wild reaction to a near-fight by the boards (h/t Pete Blackburn of NextImpulseSports.com). Put simply, she had a short and NSFW message for Minnesota center Charlie Coyle: “Whup his ass, Charlie.”
Indeed, sometimes you got to get in there, leave some Snickers wrappers on the floor and leave the door wide open.
Naturally, hockey fans across the nation fell in love with the young woman, and a #LadyInPink hashtag began to trend.
As it turns out, the fan in question appears to be a woman named Alyssa Nelson. Judging by her Twitter profile, she is a Hooters waitress and the biggest Minnesota Wild fan imaginable.
Considering the Wild beat the Avalanche 5-2 on Monday night, it’s no surprise that fans are already calling for Nelson to be flown out for Game 7 of the series in Colorado. She appears more than willing to accept her status as the team’s good-luck charm.
Get your pink shirts and Bud Light Limes ready, Minnesota. It’s time to go to Denver and whup some one more time.
