There's an old saying in football: you can never have too many Brazilians.

That's not an actual saying, but if the report in The Metro is true, it's one that Chelsea will swear by, along with "you can never have too many midfielders." Apparently the Blues want to bring Paulinho to south-west London, with a deal to be done before the World Cup.

Chelsea to Spend £20 Million on New No. 26

8 of 9

Monday

According to Garry Doolan at the Daily Star, Chelsea are preparing to bid £20 million for 19-year-old Everton centre-half John Stones.

It's no secret that John Terry isn't getting any younger, but with Kurt Zouma's imminent arrival and Tomas Kalas making his full debut against Liverpool, Stones' chances would still be limited at Stamford Bridge.

Demba Ba Back to Newcastle United

9 of 9

Monday

The Guardian's Rumour Mill has picked up a story from Lee Ryder at the Newcastle Chronicle that Demba Ba could be offered a return to St. James' Park this summer.

Ba has scored eight goals in the Premier League and Champions League this season, despite the fact he's made most of those appearances from the bench, per Squawka.

However, Jose Mourinho remains unconvinced that he can be the striker that Chelsea so desperately need, making a summer exit for the Senegalese international more likely than not.
