If Randy Orton Leaves Raw, Who Will Take His Place as Main Heel?

As I awoke from a dream of Cody Rhodes locked in a coffin by William Regal, I had a thought more chilling and odd.

If Randy Orton were to leave Raw suddenly, by injury or other reason, who would be the top heel on Raw?

This is a very tough question to answer. If you look down the line, things look very bleak. The main reason is that all the other heels have not been given enough credibility.

Priceless (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.) could continue the whole Legacy role if they needed to. But they could never be taken seriously.

They have been used too much as punching bags for Batista, Shane and HHH. They should continue to stay with the Unified Tag Team Championships.

The Brian Kendrick and Jamie Noble haven't been on Raw a lot and when they do, they are jobbers. I don't see them becoming the top heels for a while, unless they could get a new angle.

Big Show, Matt Hardy, William Regal, and Chavo Guererro are jokes now. All of them have great mic skills or good ring ability, but all of them have been used as stepping stones for babyfaces such as John Cena, MVP, Kofi Kingston and even Santino/Santina Marella. Its pathetic to see great Superstars put to this use.

The Miz is the most charismatic heel on Raw. He can talk well on the mic and he is improving with his in ring ability. My only problem with him is that he hasn't won enough titles to give him credibility.

He has won both tag championships, but he hasn't won a singles championship. Hopefully, this will change very soon.

Today, Justin Thomas wrote an article about how Matt Hardy should be given a major push and I agree. Matt Hardy would probably be the next in line as top heel. He can talk very well on the mic and his technical ability is off the charts.

He has held singles titles, such as the United States championship and the ECW championship. Plus, they can do a cross-brand feud if both Hardys hold the world titles.

Hopefully, this issue will never have to happen. But until then, I will be highly paranoid.
