Aintree Ladies Day is a time-honoured tradition, featuring far more fashion and alcohol than actual horse racing.

To be honest, that's just the way we like it.

The 2014 event has certainly lived up to expectations, with several excellent images making the rounds on the Internet on Friday. These are some of our favourites.
