Lloris: Had little to do other than pick the ball out of his net three times.

Naughton: Had a typically poor game at right-back, tormented by runners.

Kaboul: Scored an early own goal to set the tone, failing to sort out his feet. Bucked up in the second half.

Vertonghen: A quiet showing ended early due to injury.

Rose: Ended up really suffering with the pace of Sterling, Suarez and Sturridge.

Bentaleb: Anonymous in the middle but for one shot straight into Mignolet's arms.

Sigurdsson: Tried to drive Spurs forward from deep but had little impact doing so.

Lennon: Saw very little of the ball; Pressed the opposition nicely, at least.

Chadli: Played centrally but had no effect on the game. Should have been swapped with Eriksen.

Eriksen: Squandered Spurs' best chance to score at 2-0, seeing his central effort blocked by Martin Skrtel. Sticking him on the left is self-defeating.

Soldado: Ineffectual, rarely fed the ball and poor when leading Spurs' attacks. One curling shot saved.
