What The Mavericks Must Do To Be Conteders For The Championship Again

ive been a dallas mavericks fan my whole life and it hurts everytime i see my mavs barely getting into the playoffs or lose in the playoffs, i havent really excepted much from these mavs for the past two season, this is the best the mavs are gonna get.Im not for a whole roster reconstruction but some tweaks here and there would be excellent.

ive always felt that the mavs need to get rid of damp he not a starting center in this league anymore he is  backup now, he has never had that passion to the game like dwight howard for example. the nba centers are getting more skinny and quicker,damp is to slow to keep up with those type of center he can barely keep up with centers that are like him in body type.i feel like the mavs have to make a run at these centers bogut,zaza,gortat,okafor, and kaman. i feel like zaza or kaman would give more help, zaza because he plays hard all the time and he has that passion and intesity that the mavs need at center. kaman i like because he knows dirk because the olympics and they would gel together nicely,but the thing is that he is injury prone.

next thing is on my mind is kidd. i kinda like him on the mavs but he is to old. everybody needs to get over the kidd-harris trade,we need to move on.i understand what the mavs gave up for over aged point guard but we need to move on. kidd days in dallas are over in my opionon he is not a starting point guard anymore way to old. i feel like we need to sign and trade or just move on. if we do move we need to be looking at felton,possibly moving up in the draft for rubio(doubt will happen though),baron davis(i dont care what yall say i like him, he was just on a bad team last year and got hurt),udrih( i see potential in this kid,like a nash type of player).

next thing is the josh howard dilemma. i honestly love this guy he has made some bad decision in his life but look what he did in the playoff on two bad ankle he did awesome. i feel like we should keep him and move him to the 2 guard , he give us length and and a good defender on the wing. the person that i feel that the mavs should feel the whole if the move josh to 2 guard is HEDO TURK... this guy is awesome he is so under-rated, he did great in the finals. i say sign him now that he opted out of his contract , we should have money now that dirk sayed he would agree to less money to get somebody. josh and hedo at the 2 and 3 would give us length and both of them would fit in perfect in carlisle fast break offense.

i say we trade jet terry, he has been great but we need to get younger, i hope the rumor of trading jet and stack for no. 5 pick comes true. the mavs can also make a run at michael redd from milwakue maybe give a package deal with terry and bass.

1.jamal crawford,ariza(highly doubt the lakers arent gonna resign him),al harrington,barnes,gordon 

dirk isnt going anywhere get this through yalls mind. he is staying a maverick for his whole career! 

this is my dream roster for 09-10 season

2.howard(or redd if we trade for him),wright

3.hedo,singleton(really like this guy game alot of passion)

4.nowitzki,bass

5.kaman or zaza(i can go either way)
