Play-in Game Betting Trends: Xavier Best March Madness Team

The First Four (better known as the play-in round) tips off Tuesday with two games, including Xavier vs. North Carolina State, where bettors will be cheering on the Musketeers.

As the best betting team of the past decade (18-2-1 ATS), Xavier looks to earn a 12 seed in the Midwest with a win over the Wolfpack. The Musketeers were small favorites against an N.C. State team that closed the year on a profitable 10-2 ATS run.

Bettors would love to see them win a round or two and hope that their money-making ways continue into next weekend.

In the other game, the South’s No. 16 seed will be decided when America East champion Albany faces Northeast Conference champion Mount St. Mary’s.

Wednesday’s games feature Iowa vs. Tennessee to decide the Midwest Region’s 11 seed and Texas Southern vs. Cal Poly to decide the No. 16 slot in the same region. The Mustangs are surprise favorites in the latter game as they were riding a 2-9 SU streak before pulling off three upsets in the Big Sky tournament.
