Torres has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, and he would be "receptive" to working under Diego Simeone. While the Blues are likely to take a big hit on their investment, there is a chance that El Nino could be used as a makeweight in a deal for ยฃ32 million-rated striker Diego Costa.

According to the report, LA Galaxy are prepared to offer the midfielder a ยฃ4 million-a-year deal to tempt him to see out his career in the States.ย 

Ashley Cole to Real Madrid
