Is WWE Becoming Boring?
First off, let me thank everybody who viewed and commented on my first article. Appreciating the love, truly.
Now, I read a article by Kevin Thornton about Smackdown, ECW, and Superstars being better than RAW. I would've left a comment, but I felt I had too much to say and a comment just wasn't happening.
First off, I don't think the problem is Raw being weaker than Smackdown, ECW, and Superstars, I think the problem is WWE as a whole. The problem is not the wrestlers, but the management.
The great and Almighty Chairman of the Board and his creative team need to realize that all of their talent needs to be exposed. Every week it's the same freaking crap.
Some of you might feel differently, but I know that I'm tired of seeing Hardy vs. Edge, Legacy vs Triple H, Batista, and Ric Flair. Honestly, it's nothing but Evolution all over again, but with Orton on the heel side now.
Other matches like Morrison vs. Benjamin and Legacy vs. The Colons and The Hart Dynasty vs. anybody have potential, but they lack that certain umph.
Another thing I'm tired of is not seeing wrestlers with potential not getting their time to shine. Guys like The Brian Kendrick and Jamie Noble are not being put in enough matches or are jobbing to bigger guys.
Second, I don't think ECW is being utilized properly. Have any of you taken a look at the ECW roster. It's like 12 guys total on the roster. Come on. WWE needs to take the talent that's not being shown on Raw and Smackdown and place them on ECW, where they can shine and build up their status and show that they can be upper mid-card or hopefully, main event players.
They did it with CM Punk and Jack Swagger, why not with guys who've been with the company longer. (Sideline: The Hart Dynasty RULES).
Third, WWE needs to bring back a certain title. That's right, you guessed it, the Cruiserweight Title. Another reason why guys like The Brian Kendrick and Jamie Noble are not being utilized right is because they have nothing to compete for.
If there's no title to compete for, why compete? Another thing WWE needs to bring back is the Tag Team Division. I'm not sure, but I believe WWE has about 5 or 6 tag teams total.
Come on, honestly. Taking singles competitors and setting them up as tag teams for one night does not constitute having a tag team division.
Another thing WWE needs to do is play dirty. They need to start reaching out to superstars from TNA, ROH, and other wrestling companies who take the time out of their schedule to reach out to WWE's superstars.
WWE needs to realize that they are not invincible, they can be taken out. TNA right now has the potential to give WWE a fight for their life, they just need to learn how to do it. A few changes in TNA, and they can finally become some competition for WWE.
They're already collecting superstars that WWE released, if they can learn how to utilize them while at the same time utilizing their own talent right, we'll be seeing another Monday Night War. (TNA doesn't come on Mondays, I was just making a point).
And last but not least, my biggest gripe with WWE. Vinnie Mac needs to chill with the PG crap. WWE needs to realize that as much as they want to tend to the kids, it's the adults who pay for this.
And if the adults are not satisfied, you think them or their kids are gonna be attending WWE events. WWE cannot survive on television alone. And once they realize this, I guarantee WWE will get way better than what it is right now.
