Look and Prediction Of First Ten Games For The New Orleans Saints
3-13,10-6, 7-9, and 9-7. These are the past records of the New Orleans Saints. There production have been up and down throughout the past decade. Some seasons they look like serious playoff contenders and then other seasons they struggle to get to .500. Saints come in to this season with a new defense plus defensive coordinator in Greg Williams and the best offense in the National Football League. I'm going to go game by game and give predictions and analysis for this season.
Week 1 - Lions at Saints
Just imagine it. Rookie Quarterback Matthew Stafford goes into the Super dome and lead the new Lions to their first win in almost two years. Good to imagine, but not going to happen. In the first game of the season, Drew Brees and the Saints put on a show as Marques Colston returns to top form and Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas each score a TD.

Week 2- Saints at Eagles
Saints go into Lincoln Financial Field to face the Eagles. Saints' defense has to show that it has finally turned it around. Donovan McNabb tries to throw it around the yard and has some success as the Saints shut down the Eagles run game against a not so healthy Brian Westbrook. Saints' Drew Brees has some difficulty throwing it against the Eagles' defense and the run game is shut down. Eagles pull away in 4th quarter.
Result- Saints 17 Eagles 28
Week 3- Saints at Bills
Saints try to rebound against the Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium. On Offense Bush and Thomas rush for more than 100 yards and Brees throws for more than 250. On Defense they shut down Owens and Lee, but the Bills rush for over a 100 yards, while T.O. throws away the stale popcorn.
Result- Saints 28 Bills 13
Week 4- Jets at Saints
The New York Jets come into the Superdome. In their second home game, the Saints harass rookie QuarterbackMark Sanchez and comes up big as the offense struggles against Rex Ryan defense but comes up big in the 4th quarter. New Orleans wins a thriller in the final minutes.
Result- Jets 10 Saints 17
Week 5- Bye
Week 6- Giants at Saints
Saints try to beat another New york team but defense get drilled. Brandon Jacobs runs it down the Saints' throat and keeps the offense on the bench. When the offense is on the field, Brees is getting harassed by Tuck and Umenyiora and the Saints cant hold on. Giants literally run away with it.
Result- Giants 28 Saints 14
Week 7- Saints at Dolphins
Saints rebound big against the Dolphins on both sides of the ball. On offense Drew Brees lights up the sky and Bush finally returns to form with a huge game in the run and pass game. On defense the Saints shuts down the Wildcat and keeps Pennington on the ground as they dominate through the whole game.
Result- Saints 38 Dolphins 16
Week 8- Falcons at Saints
Saints face their first division opponent. Defense has an average game as they hold Turner under 100 yards and keep Matt Ryan to 220 passing. The offense rely on the passing game to come through while holding off a late surge by the Falcons.
Result- Falcons 21 Saints 24
Week 9- Panthers at Saints
One of the best games of the week, the Panthers and Saints go head to head in the Superdome. There are plenty of lead changes and ties as Williams and Stewart both score. In the final minutes the Saints put it on Brees as he goes into 2 minute mode and goes down the field to win it.
Result- Panthers 24 Saints 27
Week 10- Saints at Rams
The 2nd easiest game of the season the Saints have everything clicking for them as they score over 40 points with 150 yards on the ground and 350 in the air. The Rams had no chance as the defense shuts it down.
Result- Saints 48 Rams-6
Based on my prediction the Saints start off 7-2 but there toughest games come in the second half of the season. Stay tuned to see my second half predictions.
