A remarkable picture surfaced of KPB looking decidedly relaxed during the wait, which led to a defence from Schalke, as Richards reports:
The picture recently came to light leading to Schalke general manager Horst Heldt having to defend the 26-year-old, signed from AC Milan in August.
According to Heldt, it's common for players to have a beer prior to a doping test as it helps them to give a sample.
Common, perhaps—yet it's hardly an everyday footballing image (not counting the nightclub jaunts, of course).
