Social media is a great way for people to act, and it also allows professional sports teams to send some jabs online. For that, we are thankful.

The Phoenix Suns were celebrating “KJ Dunk Night” on Sunday, Feb. 23, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Feigen. Back in Game 4 of the 1994 Western Conference semifinals, Phoenix’s Kevin Johnson dunked on the Houston Rocket’s Hakeem Olajuwon, via YouTube:

The Rockets went on to win that game and eventually the series in seven games.

On Sunday, Houston big man Dwight Howard threw down a one-handed slam off a lob against the Phoenix Suns:

With Phoenix celebrating the dunk on this night, Houston figured it would be a good time to bring up the occasion:

Shots fired.

Howard's dunk got the Rockets' Twitter account pumped up, but the Suns were not impressed:

These two teams could wind up meeting in the playoffs, which would create a very compelling storyline.

The Rockets got the last laugh in this game as they rallied late for a 115-112 victory.
