U.S. Bobsledder Tweets Inappropriate Picture, Quickly Deletes It

Dan CarsonFeb 19, 2014

There are actual “Sochi Problems,” and then there are problems you create for yourself.

Of these two categories, Dallas Robinson’s recent tweet falls into the latter category.

The U.S. bobsledder recently tweeted out a picture of what appeared to be himself urinating in a narrow alleyway in Sochi. The tweet was spotted by Mike Foss of For The Win and has since been deleted.

Robinson’s tweet stated, “May be in another country, but I’m still a bit country.”

Is urinating in public a major offense? Not likely, but you might not want to post it on the Internet.

Taking a leak outside the Rib Shack might be normal in Small Town, America, but peeing in public at the Olympics and tweeting about it comes off as a thoughtless move for a de facto ambassador of the United States.

Then again, Robinson gave up caring about who sees his pee a long time ago.

Fortunately, it would appear Robinson is making up for the stunt. He’s made some Russian friends and was last seen sporting a stylish Ushanka.

It just goes to show that no matter the place, new friends and common ground can still be found at the Olympic Games. We just need to make sure we’re not urinating on said ground.

Everyone knows Russia banned "pee alleys" and "whizz ways" in the '40s.
