Note to Rex Ryan: Don't Start Talking Until You Start Winning
The NFL preseason just got a little more interesting.
The New York Jets' rookie coach and son of former Super Bowl coach Buddy Ryan didn't wait too long in the NFL before he decided to ruffle a few feathers in the AFC East.
Within just a few days Rex Ryan was able to get on the bad side of a lot of people. He started by boldly proclaiming that he "never came here to kiss Bill Belichick's rings" and then later refused to apologize for his comments.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder heard what Ryan said, he replied jokingly "He's going absolutely nuts. So congratulations to him, he's the OTA (Organized Team Activity) Super Bowl winner."
Ryan then sarcastically stated, "All I know is that he's all tatted up, so I guess I need to be nervous about him." He then followed with an almost threat, saying "If I was younger, I'd handle him myself."
First of all, Ryan wouldn't have been able to take Crowder even if he was younger. He is definitely pretty stocky and wouldn't have been able to hold up against a "tatted up" NFL linebacker.
Second, why is he saying all of this before the regular season has even started? It's not like he has any accomplishments with the Jets to back up his statements. He needs to watch what he says or else it will make the Jets rivals even more mad than normal.
That could lead to his players getting hurt because their rivals will hit harder to get back at him.
If he was in another division he might be able to get away with a little more, but not in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL. Especially when he's making comments about a football genius like Belichick.
Of course, the Jets wouldn't even have this problem in the first place if they had just kept their great previous head coach Eric Mangini. Instead they fired him for reasons that weren't his fault and out of his control. But that's another completely different discussion.
Rex Ryan's mouth will only hurt the Jets, so New York needs to seriously consider getting a new coach soon. But if they keep him and the Jets start winning, then he can talk all he wants. Until then he needs to keep his mouth shut and focus on his own team.
