Full Preview for Main Event Featuring the Wyatt Family and Sin Cara

The Doctor Chris MuellerFeb 12, 2014

Welcome to your weekly spoiler-free preview of WWE Main Event. Here you will get a rundown of all of the matches set to take place and the possible effects on any storylines.

The show we have set for Wednesday will feature three matches with no impact on current storylines or feuds, but we do get to see The Wyatt Family in action, and that is always something to look forward to.

Los Matadores and Sin Cara will be fed to The Wyatt Family in preparation for their upcoming match with The Shield, Aksana and Natalya will face off in Divas action, and Big E Langston will take on two thirds of 3MB in a handicap match.

This is going to be a typical week on Main Event—nothing special, but the possibility of some decent action. Let's take a look at the matches scheduled to take place this Wednesday.

The Wyatts vs. Sin Cara and Los Matadores

This is obviously a match where The Wyatts are going to come out victorious, but the group of Sin Cara and Los Matadores is not one I would mind seeing more often.

All three of these Superstars are kid-friendly gimmicks, and they all have the masked luchador attire that sells well at the merchandise stands. Having them form a babyface stable would finally give 3MB another mid-card group to face.

Pairing them with Rey Mysterio to make a four-man group would be even better, but that seems even less likely than Sin Cara and Los Matadores beating The Wyatt Family.

They are all exciting in the ring, and they all have the potential to be fan favorites, even if it is as an entertainment/comedy gimmick.

The Wyatt Family will look strong in this match, likely controlling most, if not all of the encounter. We will see a few high spots from the babyfaces, but expect Wyatt to hit Sister Abigail's Kiss in a cool way like he did on Raw against Rey Mysterio.

Natalya vs. Aksana

W'e've seen this match before, and it will likely play out the same way it always has. This is going to be an easy win for Natalya.

With Aksana also being responsible for injuring Naomi, we could see her punished in this bout by being jobbed out in a squash match.

With Naomi out for the moment, Natalya makes a good substitution for a Divas title contender. She has had many chances in the past, but at least we know she can put on a solid match with AJ.

As far as this match goes, don't expect anything special.

But there is one thing to like. With their names and muscular builds, this is essentially like watching two female Bond villains fighting. I've compared Aksana to Xenia Onatopp in the past, and I think the comparison still stands.

Natalya is more like a female Jaws, and I mean that in the nicest way possible.

Big E Langston vs. Drew McIntyre

This is barely interesting. WWE is putting Langston in a match where it is pretty obvious he is going to come away with a win. Even against 3MB, being in a match and not being an underdog is usually boring.

And Langston certainly has a bright future. This kid has more raw potential than any other powerhouse of similar size has had in quite some time.

Ryback got the big push that Langston should have received, and now it looks like WWE is finally going to start showing off his dominance by having him face multiple opponents.

Nobody in 3MB is even close to being a real contender for the IC title, so this match is probably just to keep Langston busy until WWE decides how they want to use him at Elimination Chamber, if at all.

McIntyre is no slouch, and by no means is he a small man, so it will be interesting to see just how dominant Langston is made to look. And hopefully, we see him hit the Big Ending on both Mahal and Langston at the same time to truly show his power.

That's it for this week. Are you looking forward to any of the matches set for Main Event, or is this week's show skippable?
