Javier Manquillo Lands on Head, Hospitalised After Cristiano Ronaldo Challenge

Javier Manquillo suffered a nasty blow and was hospitalised after he landed on his head following a challenge by Cristiano Ronaldo in Tuesday's Copa del Rey derby.

The Atletico Madrid youngster picked a neck injury, according to Goal.com. following the collision with the Portuguese star, who received a yellow card.

The posterior part of the medical tests that he underwent confirm that Javier Manquillo suffers whiplash. A neurological examination came out normal and he has been admitted to the hospital for observations.

It was a mixed night for Ronaldo, whose Real team progressed to the final but he was also hit on the head by a lighter thrown from the crowd.
